How Property Stepping Stone built a course and toolkit for first-time buyers.

A LearnWorlds academy with an 8-module course, a 14-tool toolkit and a clear route to buy, built from a client brief.

8modules covering the full UK home buying journey
14tools across 8 toolkit chapters
3products: course, toolkit and bundle
The client

A founder with a clear audience.

Property education

Property Stepping Stone (PSS) helps first-time buyers in the UK. Its audience is aged 20 to 40, buying a first home and unsure of the process.

The founder wanted one platform to teach the journey and sell practical tools. PSS had a brand direction and early concepts, and needed a team to refine them and build a working academy.

The challenge

First-time buyers do not know what they do not know.

  • How do we show a nervous buyer the full process before they pay?
  • How do we sell three products without confusing the choice?
  • How do we write for two buyers: course students and toolkit-only customers?
  • How do we keep the site clear on a phone, where most buyers will browse?
  • How do we bring in organic traffic once the site is live?
What we did

From brief and concepts to a working academy.

01

Proposal and scope

We turned the client's brief and a call transcript into a fixed scope. The plan covered the public website, the student area, checkout, the domain and an 8-module course with video lessons and exams.

02

Options, then decisions

We presented headline and hero copy options, and the client chose. That feedback moved the homepage from a problem-led opening to a path-led one, with the five-stage journey shown early and a layout that works on mobile.

03

Strategy built into the pages

We documented the marketing approach so the client could see the reasoning: messaging that meets buyers where they are, a clear choice between the three products, proof placed where doubt appears, and a course hub that shows progress to keep students moving.

04

A brand voice with rules

We wrote a voice guide the team can follow: short sentences, one idea in each, no jargon. It also covers typography and a palette that keeps the navy and orange.

05

Copy for two buyers

We wrote every toolkit chapter twice. One version suits course students and builds on the videos. The other suits standalone buyers and stands on its own. Each of the 8 chapters has both.

06

Visual assets

We built graphic backgrounds for key sections and briefed an illustration style in a warm editorial look that fits the brand.

07

Content for growth

We wrote a reusable blog framework and keyword briefs that map to course modules, so the team has a repeatable way to publish search-led articles.

The results

A working academy, three clear products and a voice the team can reuse.

PSS now has a working LearnWorlds academy, three clear products and a brand voice the team applies across every page. The site gives first-time buyers the full journey in eight modules, then the tools to act on each stage.
